"Reflecting on ministry led me to a profound realization—there is a deeper calling for those who are truly called in Christ. Trying to compartmentalize my path, searching for direction, all leads to one undeniable truth: it’s about the journey. What I’m experiencing is not just a shift—it’s a breaking, a refining fire that is tearing into the core of my existence, shattering old ways of thinking, and sharpening my focus.
At first, my priority was producing a radio broadcast. The first episode, Giants Among Us, was created for that very purpose. But along the way, something shifted. The process of production wasn’t just technical—it became spiritual. I now believe the transition from radio to podcasting wasn’t by chance, but by divine orchestration, set into motion by the forty-day fast I undertook.
That fast changed everything. It opened my eyes, deepened my spirit, and redirected my mission. And in this behind-the-scenes episode, I will share how that experience didn’t just alter the format of a program—it transformed me."
Lately, something has been stirring deep within me—leading me to a new place in my reflections on true ministry. It’s the undeniable power of the Holy Spirit. The realization that the Holy Spirit is Christ Himself, actively working in and through us, has been reshaping my understanding in ways I can’t ignore.
As I prepare for my upcoming teaching—continuing the journey of True Ministry—I’m drawn to a truth that has been unfolding in my spirit for some time: the Holy Spirit as our personal Coach and Teacher, the very essence of the Rabbi within us. This isn’t just a topic for me; it’s been a transformative experience.
The past few episodes have been nothing short of life-changing. And honestly, I don’t often share moments like these because they feel deeply personal—just Christ and me. But today, I feel compelled to say this…
"Even as I put these words to paper, my spirit remains unsettled—a reminder that as followers of Christ, we carry a calling placed within us before we ever entered this world. We are not random; we are created with divine purpose. But the journey isn’t about figuring it out—it’s about fixing our eyes on Christ. Anything else is just a distraction. Because it is He, not us, who leads us into our calling. We may believe we are steering the vessel, but in truth, Christ Jesus holds the wheel."

The Journey to Calling: A Deeper Revelation
The search for our calling in Christ is often framed in worldly terms—“finding your identity,” “discovering who you really are,” or “figuring out where you belong.” As if there’s some preordained slot we need to plug ourselves into, like a wall socket, supplying the power we need to be complete.
But here’s the truth: *there is* a source of power—*the* Power. A higher power. And the way to access it isn’t through endless self-exploration or striving. It’s through obedience and faith. *We put our hands to the plow, we don’t look back, and we get to work* (Luke 9:62). In other words, when we fix our eyes on Jesus, He becomes our focus, and in that focus, we find our purpose. Just like a farmer who tills the ground, plants the seed, and waits for the harvest, we too must commit to the process. The calling is already within us—we were *born* with it. The journey simply reveals it.
This is the same path walked by those who came before us. The patriarchs—Gideon, Samson, Samuel, Saul, and David—were all born with divine purpose. Yet, their destinies were shaped by either obedience or rebellion. Saul and David serve as a stark contrast—one chose pride and disobedience, the other chose surrender and repentance. The difference? *Focus.* Dependence on the Holy Spirit. That’s where true development happens. That’s where we are molded, refined, and transformed.
I find myself in that very process now—being shaped, tested, and prepared. We don’t just step into our calling overnight. *We grow into it.* We become the person God created us to be, walking in the purpose He wove into our very DNA before we were even born.
The Noise of the World vs. The Stillness of God
But the noise of the world is nothing like the Stillness of God.
While reflecting on *Deeper Calling*, I realized something else: as much as I love New York, it’s not always the place for spiritual stillness. The constant motion, the industrial hum—it can dull the senses, making it harder to hear God’s voice. In a city where human kindness, respect, and love often take a back seat to ambition, building an intimate relationship with Christ requires *intentionality*.
This brings to mind Proverbs 12:10:
"Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast."
Even in something as small as how we treat animals, scripture shows us that righteousness is marked by care, attention, and love. And that love is at the very heart of the greatest commandment.
When Jesus was asked, “Teacher, what is the greatest commandment in the Law?” He pointed back to Deuteronomy 6:4:
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might."* (Deuteronomy 6:4)
Yet, when Jesus restates this commandment in Matthew 22:37, He adds one crucial word:
"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind."
This shift is profound. Jesus takes the command beyond just strength—He includes the *mind*. Why? Because sin begins in the mind before it manifests in action.
Jesus reinforces this in His teachings:
- If you look at a woman with lust, you’ve already committed adultery in your heart.
- If you hate your brother, you’ve already committed murder in your heart.
The battle starts in our thoughts. As James 1:15 warns:
"Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.:
This is why *spiritual discipline* is crucial. And two of the most powerful weapons we have in our spiritual arsenal are **prayer and fasting**.
The Power of Prayer and Fasting
Jesus didn’t say *if* you pray and fast—He said *when*. These are not optional disciplines for the believer; they are *essential* to a victorious walk in Christ.
He taught:
"And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you."
Prayer is not about performance—it’s about intimacy with God. And fasting? It’s about breaking chains, sharpening our spiritual senses, and stepping into divine power.
Jesus said:
"Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting." (Matthew 17:21)
Some battles, some strongholds, some breakthroughs will only come through *both* prayer and fasting. These disciplines refine us, strip away distractions, and bring us into alignment with God’s will.
Walking This Journey Together
I’ve spoken of my journey, but I want to be clear—this isn’t a path we walk alone. The Christian life was never meant to be lived in isolation.
That’s why I’ve created a **safe space**—a place where you can submit prayer requests, share biblical insights, ask tough questions, and find accountability partners to walk this journey with you. Growth in Christ requires community, encouragement, and shared wisdom.
The Key to a Strong Walk with Christ
At the core of it all, the key to a powerful, unwavering walk with Christ is this: **keep your eyes on Jesus**.
- Not on *figuring out your calling*—because He will reveal it.
- Not on *the noise of the world*—because it will only distract you.
- Not on *your own strength*—because the Holy Spirit is your source.
Jesus summed up the greatest commandment for us in Matthew 22:37:
*"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind."*
Let that be our foundation. And as we pray, as we fast, as we surrender—our calling will unfold, and we will walk in the purpose we were *created* for.

The Power of the Holy Spirit: The True Teacher Within
As I continue to reflect on true ministry, I find myself being drawn deeper—not just into the *work* of ministry, but into the very *source* of our power: the Holy Spirit.
This realization is taking me into a place of deeper understanding, a place where ministry is not about striving, but about *surrender*. Because at the heart of it all, true ministry is not driven by human effort—it is led by the Spirit of Christ Himself. The Holy Spirit is not just a force or presence; He is the very essence of Christ, dwelling within us.
Jesus told His disciples:
"But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." (John 14:26)
He is more than our Comforter. He is our **Rabbi within**—our personal Coach, Teacher, and Guide. He instructs, convicts, empowers, and equips us to walk fully in our calling. He leads us, just as Jesus led His disciples, into all truth.
And so, as I move forward in this journey, my focus is shifting. The deeper calling is not just about *doing* ministry, but about *being* in communion with the One who *is* ministry. It’s about yielding to the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to shape, refine, and position us.
In my upcoming teaching, we will dive into this truth—**the Holy Spirit as our personal Rabbi**, the One who dwells within us, coaching us, transforming us, and empowering us to walk in the fullness of our divine purpose.
Because true ministry is not about what we do—it's about *who we are becoming in Him*. And when we fully surrender to the Holy Spirit, we don’t just step into our calling—we walk in the very power and presence of Christ Himself.
